Oh well, the high we were on about Smoochy joining us has now disappeared and we're both down in the dumps - big time! The Ministry of Agriculture have decided that they can't make any exceptions and due to bird flu scares, they are still not allowing bird importations. Never mind that there are exceptions for Falcons - I know for a fact there are falcons coming in constantly; but, of course, those are for the locals not for the inferior ex-pats. So Smooch stays with Johann where, I am told, she is extremely happy - singing away to her little heart's content, calling everyone who comes into the shop, answering phones and all in all keeping everyone around her happy! I will not give up trying to bring her to join us though, so watch this space .............SmileyCentral.com

Other than that downer, a little upper came in the form of Charles & Cikka's little Maltese Poodle - 3.5 months old, Tina is a ball of white fluff who has the other 4 dogs chasing around her to see who she will play with. We are baby-sitting Tina for 4 weeks and we already know it's going to be a wrench to give her back :-) In the meantime, we are still looking after Spencer and Louise (a Lhasa Apso and Pekingese) and their daddy, Paul, who have lived with us for something like 3 months I guess. They are, sadly, leaving us this week to go to their own home, although Paul has promised that he will still be in charge of my barbecues ............ his barbecues are to die for! We're also counting the days for his wife and son, Caroline and Harrison, to join him and for us girls to go shopping together :-)

I've just finished cleaning (as usual) - 5 dogs chasing each other in and out of the house doesn't help keep the house clean - sand everywhere! But it's done for the day, so I'm going to sit and bead finally.

Incidentally, I wonder if anyone is actually reading this blog? Anyone? Oh well, it would be nice to see a comment from whoever, if anyone, is seeing this!

Have a good one ............. tata!
