On the 12 February this year, my husband and I left Malta to come and live in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. This blog is created as a diary for me to remember things as they are happening and for friends to keep in touch and up-to-date with our adventure.
I have no idea what will evolve out of these pages, but I will try and keep them interesting. At the very least, it will save me from having to write updates every month to keep everyone informed on how we're doing......!
Dudes, you all know I prefer to spend my time beading, so if you're still interested, you're all going to have to visit whenever you remember :-)
Originally I thought of posting my previous updates here, just in case anyone wants to know how we managed to find our way to where we are now ........... hmmmm, lots of typing - I'll think about it.
Now, having spent all afternoon figuring out how to start these pages - with great difficulty I might add since I am not at all computer friendly - off to bed I go and catchya all soon.

Pissed off ? PISSED OFF ? call that pissed off ???? you haven't even got past the P of pissed yet baby. Its all because you insist on still wearing them lycra knickers, nice but not ventilated. I've told you a thousand times, ignore the flies and let it all hang out. And one advantage of being there in that temperature is you don't notice hot flushes, so you can't pull that one either.
take up skinny horse riding, good for the figure and street cred, and it may even be an uplifting experience if you don't slip out the saddle at the crucial moment !
(a small square of sand paper taped to the saddle will reduce the chances, but may give an interesting rash so you and the number cruncher can compare notes -and rashes - for a nice evening in.
I'm sending some Black and Decker gear (Pete will explain) for hours of mindless fun, sitting with yer head between yer knees. So next I expect to hear Appy Jackie is all better and not moaning at everyone.
